This distinctive, 110-year-old beachfront home, set in a large indigenous garden on a quiet beachfront cul-de-sac, is now available for discerning guests (and their pets), wanting a relaxed coastal holiday. This venue sleeps 11 guests in 2 units, with the accommodation divided between the 3-bedroomed main house (all bedrooms en suite), and a spacious 1-bedroomed cottage with open-plan living room / kitchen and covered patio for al fresco dining regardless of the weather.
This two-unit configuration makes Serendipity ideal for two-family getaways, or for multi-generational groups: let Granny and Granddad have their own space in the cottage, while Mom, Dad and the kids enjoy the main house. This historic property was created in around 1910 by combining the original beachfront rondavels. This explains the spacious round bedrooms, the soaring wooden ceilings and screeded floors, and the unique turreted roof.
The pet-friendly garden is fully fenced. A gate opens directly onto a path leading through a narrow strip of vegetation (the Admiralty Reserve) and then onto the pristine Blue Flag Southport Beach, which offers safe swimming with lifeguards, two tidal pools, rock pools, and excellent fishing.
Main house (sleeps seven):- Fully-equipped kitchen with electric stove and microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher (bring own detergent) Three en suite bedrooms with ceiling fans: First bedroom with a double bed, second bedroom with a double, and three single beds in the third bedroom. Large open-plan living and dining area with TV.
The garden cottage (sleeps four):- Open-plan living area / kitchen with microwave and fridge-freezer, leading onto a covered patio. One bedroom with a double bed and ceiling fan. Two single sofa bunks in the living room. Shower and separate toilet and basin.
Outside braai area and secluded spots with seating scattered throughout the lush garden, which has lights throughout. Outdoor shower to clean off after being at the beach. Top-notch security, with motion beams in the garden, electric main gate, and 24/7 security company on call. On-site parking. Jojo tank for back-up water.

Low Season: R2500 per night
High Season: R4000 per night
Please note: No smoking. There is an unfenced fish pond about 1m deep that may pose a risk for very young children. Bedding is provided but not towels for beach or bathroom. Bring your own beach umbrellas and deckchairs.

We loved staying in this gorgeous home, leading onto a magnificent quiet beach. The rooms were all spacious with loads of cupboard space. Kitchen equipment catered to all our needs, making us feel at home immediately. We especially loved how many bedrooms there are, all en-suite, allowing each of us to have our own bathroom, what a luxury for our teenage girls! Walking from the garden straight onto the beach each day was such a convenience and spoil. Thank you for sharing your home with us for a much needed rest! Cannot wait to return soon.
